Editorial Policy and Data Methodology
Our editorial policy explains how this independent site selects sources, handles uncertainty, calculates estimates and corrects material errors. Official NS&I and relevant UK public-body sources take priority. Unverified figures are omitted or marked unavailable. Review dates record a real content or source check and are never changed automatically simply because the site was rebuilt.
Source priority
- NS&I and relevant UK public bodies for product rules and official facts.
- GOV.UK, HMRC, FCA, FSCS and ICO where their remit is relevant.
- Reputable secondary explanations only for context.
- Forums and competitors may identify questions but do not establish facts.
Data boundary
Public Results content uses dated, non-ZIP NS&I product information and announcements. Winning-number ZIPs are imported by individual users for local checking and are not republished by the site.
Calculations
Each calculator should publish inputs, dated parameters, method, rounding and limitations. Average expected value, median outcome and an individual result are not the same.
Review and dates
A last-reviewed date records a real source or content review. It is not changed automatically during a routine build. Unverified facts are omitted or marked unavailable.
Use of AI
AI tools may assist drafting or quality checks. They must not invent figures, sources, qualifications, reviews or recommendations. Material financial facts require human verification.
Commercial independence
The MVP includes no advertising, affiliate links, paid membership or sponsored rankings. Any future commercial relationship requires separate review and clear disclosure.
